Austrian National Stakeholder Event

Plattform Gesundheitswirtschaft

On May 12, 2025, the Plattform Gesundheitswirtschaft took place at the Medical University of Graz, Austria, bringing together 35 participants (including 21 men and 14 women) from Austria. Organised collaboratively by Human.technology Styria GmbH and the Styrian Economic Chamber, the two-hour event was held in the context of the I3HIES project.

This well-established networking platform connects public healthcare stakeholders with private-sector innovators, particularly in areas such as e-health and telemedicine. Initiated upon the recommendation of the Research Council of the State of Styria and integrated into the region’s economic strategy, the platform aims to unlock the healthcare sector’s market potential.

Since its launch in 2017, the Plattform Gesundheitswirtschaft has hosted ten meetings—two per year—with a cumulative participation of approximately 300 stakeholders from the Styrian healthcare and innovation ecosystems. The May 2025 edition featured a forward-looking programme including a keynote, startup pitches, and a panel discussion.

  • Keynote by Peter McDonald (ÖGK):
